Incontinence hyperactivity
What is overactive bladder incontinence?
Overactive bladder incontinence, also known as overactive bladder syndrome, is characterized by an urgent and frequent need to urinate, often accompanied by involuntary leakage. Unlike stress incontinence, leakage occurs when the urge is sudden and difficult to hold.
This disorder can severely disrupt daily life and sleep, and affect quality of life.
What are the symptoms?

- Need to urinate more than 8 times a day,
- Spontaneous urine leakage or leakage before reaching the toilet,
- Frequent waking at night to urinate (nocturia),
- Sometimes burning sensation or pelvic discomfort.
What are the causes?
Overactive bladder results from an involuntary contraction of the bladder muscle (detrusor), which can be triggered by a variety of factors:
Common causes include:
1️⃣ Neurological causes (multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, stroke, etc.),
2️⃣ Urinary tract infections,
3️⃣ Medicines,
4️⃣ Chronic bladder irritation,
5️⃣ Idiopathic origins (no obvious cause).
