What is a bladder polyp?
A bladder polyp is an abnormal growth of the bladder mucosa. They may be benign, but always require careful monitoring, as some polyps can develop into precancerous or cancerous forms.
What are the symptoms?
- Presence of blood in the urine (hematuria), often visible to the naked eye or detected under a microscope,
- Frequent need to urinate or burning sensation,
- Pelvic or micturition pain,
- Sometimes no symptoms, discovered by chance during an examination.
What are the causes?
1️⃣ Chronic bladder irritation (infections, stones),
2️⃣ Exposure to certain toxic substances (tobacco, chemicals),
3️⃣ History of urological pathologies,
4️⃣ Inflammatory factors.
